Dr. Liang grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, as the daughter of an anesthesiologist. Both she and her brother, a surgeon at NYU, also became physicians.
She attended Yale University (BA, magna cum laude) and Harvard Medical School (MD). While at Harvard Med, she met and married her husband, a fellow student. She did her internship at the New England Deaconess Hospital and her ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai Medical School (NYC). After training, the family moved to Philadelphia.
She has dedicated the past 25 years to caring for patients as general ophthalmologist for Suburban Eye Associates. She is on the staffs of Holy Redeemer Medical Center and Abington Memorial Hospital.
She lives in Bala Cynwyd with her husband, who is an infectious disease specialist. They have two grown daughters and a grandson. Dr. Liang’s favorite pastimes are gardening and enjoying spending time with their family.
